Porters Landing Guesthouse has sold, and is closing it's doors on September 15th, 2024. 


We can not thank all of our past guests enough. You have helped make our dream of owning a Bed and Breakfast, and sharing a little slice of  Maine heaven, possible. We envisioned a place that wasn't just someplace to sleep. - but, rather, someplace to make memories... and someplace that would make you want to stay longer & return over and over again. After these past 5 years, I am SO proud to stay that we leave Porters Landing Guesthouse with a perfect five-star rating across every platform (google, airbnb, tripadvisor). We have seen proposals, anniversaries, wedding parties, birthdays, and so much more. We close our doors with guestbooks full of wonderful memories, new friends, and our hearts full.

Porters Landing Guest House is a 1796 home, 2-suite B&B (soon to be three suites!), located in Freeport's historic Porters Landing neighborhood! We're located just one mile from bustling downtown Freeport, with all of its shopping, LL Bean, restaurants, and galleries, and a short stroll to the western shore of the tidal Harraseeket River, which opens up into Casco Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.  We were thrilled to host Maine Magazine during their "48 Hours in Freeport"!  The Porters Landing neighborhood is full of Federal and Greek Revival homes, has a small marine service shop, two public boat launches, and a long history of mariners and ship-builders.  Enjoy a day of shopping, hiking, kayaking, or exploring the Maine coastline, and then come home to your Porters Landing suite for a cozy, lovely evening!

Relax by the fire-pit on the patio, grab a drink in the library, come by the art studio for a class, or snuggle up for a evening in your suite! Guests love our breakfasts, delivered to your suite every morning in a classic picnic basket! Have your meal in the privacy of your suite, on the patio, in our library, or even at a local park! 

Our suites are modern & completely private.All of our rooms have a kitchenette, living room, bedroom, and of course all are ensuite. Here, you will find common areas that are designed for privacy and intimacy, for late night chats by the fire-pit, for a quiet coffee on the porch, or a peaceful sit in the garden.

"Hand’s down the best place to stay near the Maine coast. Beautifully decorated living room with kitchenette and dining table, fireplaces, comfy chairs and a couch, with bedroom upstairs in the loft. The bed is super comfortable and the room has AC if you need it.
What really makes this place special
are the added touches…the 24/7 snacks and coffee/tea. The beautiful garden with a fire pit and porch with rocking chairs. The welcome basket of snacks and seltzers. The breakfast is always delicious and the hostess, Amanda, is wonderful."
